Christian Education Committees
The Christian Education Committee is a very vital and integral part of Cheviot United Methodist Church. We offer a wide variety of programs and events for all members of your family. The information outlined below is designed to answer some of the questions you may have, but always feel free to call our church office or email us at education(at)cheviotumc.org for more information.
Do you offer a Sunday School Program?
Yes! We are very proud of our Sunday School. We offer programs for all age groups. We have a very dedicated staff of caring teachers who put endless amounts of time into making our Sunday School successful. All classes run from 10:20 - 11:10 AM each week. Our youngest class is for 2 & 3 year olds where they learn Bible lessons through singing, playing and listening to stories. Classes then range through adult (with several different topics offered for them.) Classes run year-round. Please join in at any time.
Do you have an education opportunity for children during worship?
Yes! During the 9:20 AM Worship Service, we offer:
- 'Children's Worship'. Children in grades 1-4 are invited to join our Worship Leader for a program geared just for that age group. This program is for children who seeks to 'walk the talk' through service, outreach and Bible based activities.
- There is a class for the 2-5 year olds during that same time and it encourages learning through crafts and discussion.
Of course, children are always welcome to stay with their parent(s) during the entire 9:20 AM Worship Service if they desire.
Do you offer Nursery Care?
Yes, we offer both nursery and toddler care during the 9:20 AM and 11:20 AM Services.
